His incredible odyssey began in 1989 when he left his hometown of Calgary at just 21 years old, in an era when cell phones and the internet were only a dream. Upon his return, Calgary had changed, but not as much as the stories Spencer had to tell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his journey, Spencer made headlines as the first tourist to visit Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, a city considered one of the most dangerous in the world at the time. He also witnessed shocking historical events, from the massacre of Hutus and Tutsis to the US invasion of Iraq. He even lived among communities like the Pygmies in the Congo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2013, at the age of 44, he decided to end his incredible journey, culminating his experience in Ireland. However, his story continues to inspire adventure lovers and those who wish to explore the world in unimaginable ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
